AOL ramps up European advertising operations
AOL has announced that it is expanding its Platform-A online advertising operations to Europe.
The launch of Platform-A will align current European units such as Advertising.com, ADTECH, buy.at, and AOL ad sales teams located in the region.
Contextual search from Quigo, behavioural targeting by TACODA, and mobile ad-serving technology from Third Screen Media will all be integrated into the operation, AOL said.
"By bringing Platform-A to Europe, we can offer advertisers the best Marketing tools and technologies available to help them effectively and efficiently deliver their messages to online audiences across Europe," remarked Randy Falco, chairman and chief executive of AOL.
Platform-A was first unveiled in the US in September last year. AOL said at the time of the launch that the introduction of the advertising suite marked the last stage of the company's shift from an internet access provider to an international advertising-supported firm.
Earlier this year, comScore released figures indicating that Platform-A was the top-performing advertising network in March.
