Apple iPhone to feature Google apps
Apple's highly-anticipated iPhone is likely to feature Google applications.
In an interview with the Seattle Times, AT&T bigwig Glenn Lurie, who has been working closely with Apple supremo Steve Jobs, justified the high price point (which is close to £300 for an eight-gigabyte model).
"You have the widgets, some of the Google applications that are coming - there are just so many things here that the price will not be an issue," he said.
He also said the iPhone's touch screen is "like nothing you've ever used" and that its browsing environment is "incredible".
The iPhone, a combination of a mobile, video iPod and internet connection, was announced by Apple in January.
"It's the first widescreen iPod they've ever done; it is very, very good; works extremely well," Mr Lurie added.
The phone presents terrific potential for internet marketers as it will further the cause of mobile internet and boost the scope for advertisers.
Featuring Google and Google-related applications will allow marketers to more easily place online ads.
Web owners can improve their online effectiveness with link ads.
