Carphone Warehouse iPhone Apple mobile to launch?
The Carphone Warehouse could be a stockist for the new Apple iPhone, reports suggest.
According to DowJones, mobile operator O2 could be in the running as a provider, with the Carphone Warehouse to stock the swish gadgets.
There has been a blank web page on Carphone Warehouse's site which appears to be a teaser for the iPhone. It contains mentions of Apple and O2 in its source code.
However, O2 chief executive Peter Erskine refused to confirm anything, saying: "We're not in a position to comment on that. What we can say is we're excited about the product and we certainly hope to be Marketing it later in the year when it launches."
Meanwhile, a new Google phone could be launched that will take on the iPhone head-to-head.
The device will be set up specifically to allow the easy use of Google applications such as its search engine, Google Maps and email.
