Companies spend more on internet advertising
Companies are spending more on Internet Advertising, according to new research. The Search Engine Performance Report on US advertisers from Efficient Frontier indicates that, year-on-year, advertisers spent 29 per cent more on search advertising in the last three months of 2007 than in 2006.
Google managed to extend its dominance of the search ad market to 76.6 per cent (an 8.6 per cent gain), and Yahoo increased its return on investment by nearly 40 per cent, thanks to its new Panama advertising platform.
Efficient Frontier chief executive Ellen Siminoff said: "In 2007, significant shifts occurred in the search marketplaces, specifically the launch of Yahoo's new Panama platform and Google's release of major algorithm updates."
Small and big businesses can greatly benefit from online advertising - reaching an audience of millions with a minimum of fuss.
