Expert says digital marketing should be adopted by financial advisers
Those advising people on finance should introduce online marketing to their strategies, it has been claimed.Philip Calvert, founder of IFA Life, said that for those working in finance, now "is no time for complacency" due to the current economic situation.
He issued some advice to those in online marketing and finance, that "2009 will be a year like no other and we'll be into very different territory".
Mr Calvert added that "as a result, many IFAs (independent financial advisers) now need to dramatically up-the-pace on their marketing activities".
Strategies such as search engine optimisation (SEO) work well to attract potential customers to the site of financial advisers, he furthered.
