How online marketing figures can PPC into profit
An expert has outlined the benefits of pay per click (PPC) strategies and how they can be turned into profit for online marketing departments.Rich Rowley of the Internet Jungle Guide has highlighted that Forbes magazine stated that PPC was predicted to have generated eight million dollars by the end of 2008, gather.com reported.
However, he adds, not many people know exactly how to turn PPC into profit.
Those in online marketing can use PPC to "get some highly targeted traffic that can result in fast sales" by using one word that will be picked up by engines and therefore lead searchers directly to your site.
Cost per action marketing can also make money as firms pay online marketing departments for every person who clicks on a free offer link to their site.
Finally, ongoing learning is important, as "when you learn and become proficient, it is an incredibly fast form and highly effective method", Mr Rowley added.
Last week, the British Chambers of Commerce urged businesses not to give up on their online marketing efforts during the economic downturn.
