Internet advertising demographic tool launched by Google
A new tool is being launched by Google that assists demographic testing in the Internet Advertising community.Currently in its private test phase, Google Ad Planner enables marketers to search for particular demographics and learn which websites are most likely to appeal to specific groups determined by age, gender or other characteristics.
Emel Mutlu explained on Google's Inside AdWords Blog that the system contrasts with the Google Trends for Website tool launched last week because it is aimed at media planners rather than the general public.
"If you're a media planner at an ad agency, you know that planning an online display buy can be challenging, particularly in scaling your campaign's reach while keeping it relevant for your target audience," the Google representative noted, explaining that searchers can "drill down further" to find out details like particular searches for sites.
The recent Reputation Quotient report from Harris Interactive placed Google in the number one spot for reputation, reported Reuters this week.
