Microsoft adds search engine marketing to business service

Microsoft adds search engine marketing to business service Microsoft has added a search engine Marketing service to its suite of business services available through Microsoft Office Live Small Business, Search Engine Watch reports.

Small businesses with less than ten employees can take advantage of online training and more because of a partnership with The Search Agency, based in Santa Monica.

"The needs of entrepreneurs are very diverse," said Microsoft's Louise Rasho.

"Some are do-it-yourself oriented, and want to learn to do everything, while others want to completely offload certain aspects of their business to vendors.

"Then there are the folks in the middle, who need consultative help getting started, so they can take over from there."

Microsoft's adManager already caters to the do-it-yourself set. The new service will also provide options for campaign management, whereby The Search Agency will look after all search marketing activities for the subscriber.

The move comes at a time when more and more companies are moving advertising dollars into the Online Marketing channel.
