Microsoft launches ad friendly Vista in style

Microsoft marked the debut of its new Windows Vista operating system in a style befitting the world's most powerful IT company.

Vista goes on sale around the globe today (January 30) and Microsoft marked the event yesterday with acrobats in company colours unfurling flags with the Windows logo against a high-rise building in New York.

In a theatre off Times Square, Microsoft head honcho Bill Gates took the stage, telling the crowds: "With the digital lifestyle, people have very high expectations. Windows, and now Vista, is the central element that allows the digital lifestyle to thrive."

Meanwhile in Paris, the Champs-Elysees was lit up in Windows colours and in Australia skywriters got the attention of the crowds.

Vista promises to make computers more powerful and is likely to drive the internet marketing trade forward.

The system will allow for better search capabilities, which will further encourage businesspeople to take advantage of pay per click
and other straightforward methods to boost their revenue.

Microsoft predicts that consumers will be hugely impressed with the new Vista operating system.
