Mozilla, Sky and Fish4 post strong gains in February
The Mozilla Organisation and Fish4 Sites enjoyed strong gains in February, in terms of unique UK website visitors.
ComScore figures show that Mozilla increased its number of visitors by 48 per cent compared to January, while Fish4 saw 24 per cent growth. Increased uptake of Mozilla's Firefox internet browser helped the former to post gains.
Other companies that had significantly more internet traffic over the month included BSkyB, Royal Mail and MiniClip.
However, it was (unsurprisingly) Google sites that enjoyed the largest numbers of visitors - some 29.3 million, followed by Microsoft sites, eBay and Yahoo! sites. Other strong performers were BBC sites, the Ask Network, Wikipedia and Facebook.
Because of Valentine's Day, the flowers/gifts/greetings sector was the top gaining category, enjoying a 28 per cent boost to seven million unique visitors.
