One of the biggest stories of the last few days was the launch of search engine Cuil.

Cuil - pronounced 'cool' - was set up by former employees of Google and claims to offer complete user privacy, more relevant results, and the largest index of web pages on the internet.


Meanwhile, Bridget O'Toole of comScore said that recent research by the company suggested that pharmaceutical firms need to do more to integrate their Online Marketing and web design efforts.


Elsewhere, Adam Schwam of Sandwire told Newsday that small firms may benefit from adopting social media as part of their Internet Marketing strategies, while Hitwise suggested that entertainment is dominating online searches at the moment thanks to the release of major new records and movies.


More recently, Yahoo! announced plans to team up with HP and Intel to carry out extensive research into cloud computing.
