The simplicity of setting up pay per click
is one of the many bonuses associated with this type of advertising.

A simple kind of paid advertising that works on a "per click" basis, it allows companies to benefit from internet traffic directed to their site in exchange for a bid amount, payable each time this happens.

The beauty of the system is that it doesn't require you to change your web pages in order to change your position in the search engine results – which is what you have to do if you don't use pay per click.

Internet marketing expert John Hayward, writing on Promotion World, points to the sheer simplicity of the pay per click process. "You just bid and you're up and running," he says. "It doesn't demand any specific technical knowledge, though the more you know about search engines and keywords, the easier – and more effective – the process will be."

Other experts in the field note that it is difficult to get a prominent search engine rank without using pay per click because of intense competition on the web. Unfortunately, competition for Pay Per Click Placements are also increasing which are forcing smaller companies out of the top sponsored results.
