Pheedo launches new RSS ad platform

RSS ad network Pheedo has launched its new FeedPowered ad platform.

The feature allows internet marketers to use text and video RSS content within ad widgets, which will result in a higher level of interaction between advertisers and consumers.

Pheedo believes it will create "viral and word-of-mouth opportunities" as users subscribe to feeds on display and email items to friends, or bookmark them on social media sites.

This interaction will also allow marketers to better assess their ad content and inform campaigns in the future.

Pheedo founder Bill Flitter said: "FeedPowered ads give marketers and publishers a way to leverage the power of RSS to move content easily around the web to engage new audiences and customers."

The ads should provide high click-through rates but present marketers with a challenge - to produce content interesting enough to attract consumers.

"Marketers are always asking us how they can do more with RSS once they have created feeds, and FeedPowered ads are the answer," Flitter said.
